Stay Safe on Your New Year’s Night Out. |
||||
|
Good afternoon Resident,
Today is New Years Eve and as such many of you may be planning to go out and celebrate the end of 2025 and the start of 2026, whether you are going out tonight in Coventry, The west Midlands or further afield we are encouraging everyone to stay safe and plan your evening. Stay with your group and look after each other. Here are some other things to remember
-Plan Your night New Year’s Eve is one of the busiest nights of the year, with bars, clubs and streets packed full of people looking to ring in the New Year. With that in mind, it’s a good idea to plan your evening in advance. Book your transport home early – whether it's a taxi, public transport or a lift from a friend. Make sure your phone is fully charged before heading out, and let someone know where you're going and who you're with.
-Drink Responsibly It is important that you know your limits when drinking alcohol. The more you drink the more vulnerable you may become and your judgement will be impaired. Always keep an eye on your drink. Never leave your drink unattended. If something seems off seek help from your friends, staff at the venue or police officers on patrol.
-Use Licensed Taxis If you need a taxi, use pre-booked services or licensed taxis only – unlicensed drivers can be unsafe and unregulated. Many city centres will have designated taxi ranks and public transport running late into the night. (In Coventry you will find taxi ranks on: Cross Cheaping, Greyfriars Road, Greyfriars Lane and Corporation Street)
However you are spending your evening the Holbrooks Radford Sherbourne & Bablake team members would like to wish you all a Happy New Year. | ||||
